When an emote or a Twitch badge appears, your browser loads its picture straight from Twitch or Kick, so they receive your IP address and browser details. Pictures load only when shown and without a referrer; if one can’t load, you see the emote’s name or a simple badge icon instead. Kick images are best effort, and Kick emotes show as text when reduced motion is on. TikTok LIVE shows as text only, so your browser loads no pictures from TikTok.

The preview uses YouTube API Services and Polaris Chat’s own Twitch, Kick and TikTok LIVE connections to show public channel names, chat usernames, messages, times and the platform each message came from. For TikTok LIVE, our server reads featured creators’ public LIVEs the way a signed-out viewer would, through a connection TikTok hasn’t approved and can limit or block at any time. Activity shows public subscriptions and memberships, gifts (without recipient names or TikTok diamond values), raids, Bits, follows, Super Chats, Super Stickers and other supported community events, with amounts exactly as the platform reports them, but never revenue or totals. Everyone sees the same featured creator, chat and Activity. We don’t combine anyone’s identities across platforms, and the preview never reads private Polaris Chat workspaces. Messages and Activity that use crude words, and messages from known chat bots, are left out.

Chat and Activity are kept only in server memory, for at most three minutes (one minute for Kick), even when nobody is watching; for TikTok LIVE, that includes each message’s and viewer’s TikTok IDs. Our server also receives viewers’ TikTok LIVE likes, joins and shares, and their profile and badge pictures, which the preview never shows; they leave its memory within the same three minutes. While it reads a TikTok LIVE, it also keeps running totals for that LIVE, such as its viewer and like counts, and each kind of gift’s diamond value, with no viewer details. While it reads a TikTok LIVE, it also keeps one-way codes made from message and viewer IDs, but not the IDs themselves, to skip repeated messages and count gifts. When a platform reports a ban, a deleted message or a cleared chat, we remove the related messages sooner. YouTube, Kick and TikTok don’t report every deletion, so a removed message or its Activity can stay visible until it expires; some YouTube removal notices clear all YouTube chat at once. There’s no lasting chat or Activity archive, and removing something here doesn’t delete it from the original platform.

The preview never sends your account cookies. Pause, search, platform filters and showing or hiding Activity apply only to this tab. Your agreement applies only to this tab. Your theme and homepage layout choices (Unified or Split, column widths and Activity panel width) may be saved in your browser, separately from your workspace settings. The preview has no analytics, ads or video and never sends messages. Our web host may process basic request details, such as your IP address.
